Street guide, Hill Head

Old Street is one of the older roads in Hill Head, its name reflecting the long history of settlement in this part of the village. The street lies close to the village centre and retains some of the character of the original hamlet that existed before the wider suburban development of the twentieth century. Houses along Old Street include some older properties alongside more modern builds, creating a varied streetscape. The road is short and quiet, with no through traffic, and it connects to Hill Head Road near the village shops. Old Street has a slightly more intimate, village-like feel than the wider residential streets that surround it.
