Chark Lane
Street guide, Hill Head
Chark Lane is a narrow lane in the Hill Head area, running through a largely residential landscape. The lane has a slightly rural character, with hedgerows and trees lining sections of the route. It connects to other local roads and provides access to a number of houses that are set back from the busier through routes. Chark Lane is not a main road and carries very little traffic, making it a pleasant walking and cycling route as well as a quiet residential address. The lane is typical of the network of smaller roads and lanes that crisscross the Hill Head and Stubbington area, remnants of the agricultural landscape that existed before the twentieth-century residential development filled in much of the open land.
