Hampshire's Solent Shore Village

Solent Way Coastal Path

Walking, Hill Head

The Solent Way is a long-distance walking route stretching approximately 60 miles along the Hampshire coast from Milford-on-Sea to Emsworth. The section passing through Hill Head runs along the clifftop and beach, connecting Meon Shore in the west with Hook and Warsash to the east. The path is freely accessible and provides some of the finest coastal walking in Hampshire, with views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight throughout. Walkers can combine a Hill Head section with visits to Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve, the harbour and the village centre. The path is waymarked and generally well maintained, though some sections close to the cliff edge require care, particularly after heavy rain when the clay can be slippery.
