Hook with Warsash is the neighbouring community immediately east of Hill Head, centred on the village of Warsash on the River Hamble. Warsash has a wider range of facilities than Hill Head, including shops, pubs, a sailing school and a small marina. The ferry across the Hamble to Hamble-le-Rice operates from Warsash shore. Hill Head residents frequently use Warsash's amenities, and the two communities are connected by the coastal path and local roads. The Hook area, which lies between Hill Head and Warsash, is mainly residential with some green spaces including Hook Park. The combined area offers a pleasant mix of coastal scenery, recreational facilities and village life.
